Akumal Bay and Secrets Akumal are different hotels
Both names refer to the Akumal area, but Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort and Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya are separate properties. Club Akumal Caribe is another hotel. Use your room confirmation to choose the correct destination.
If you want to see turtles in the bay
Akumal Bay has protected marine wildlife. Follow the authorized guide’s instructions; do not touch or feed turtles, and do not stand on coral or seagrass. Ask locally about current access and activity conditions. Turtle sightings and snorkeling are not part of an airport-transfer reservation.
Packing for the ride and the beach
Keep swimwear, medication and documents where you can reach them without opening every suitcase. Choose a vehicle with room for your actual luggage, especially if you are bringing snorkeling equipment. Ask us in advance about unusually large bags.
