A hotel strip between the Caribbean and the lagoon
Cancun's Hotel Zone follows a coastal strip stretching about 22 km, with the Caribbean on one side and the Nichupte Lagoon setting on the other. That geography shapes the holiday: beach access, dinner plans and the airport journey depend on your part of the strip. Staying in the Hotel Zone does not mean every Cancun attraction will be nearby.
Hyatt Ziva Cancun is at Punta Cancun, while Live Aqua Cancun has a different Boulevard Kukulcan address farther along the strip. Selecting your actual property connects the transfer to that part of the coast and makes arrival easier to coordinate with your hotel's reception.
Oceanfront, lagoon side and downtown addresses
Boulevard Kukulcan links much of the Hotel Zone, with properties facing the Caribbean or the lagoon. An address may include a kilometer marker, building name and entrance information. Keep those details available if your accommodation is a condominium or apartment; a map pin alone may not identify the reception or vehicle access.
Staying downtown instead of on the beach? We can take you there too. Search by your hotel's full name, or send us the address if you cannot find it. We will help you arrange the right drop-off.
Beach, Maya history and an afternoon on the strip
Playa Marlin brings you to the Caribbean-facing side of the Hotel Zone, while El Rey offers a visit to a Maya archaeological site within Cancun. They give you two different ways to spend part of a day without making an excursion to another Riviera Maya town. Match the outing to your hotel's position and the kind of afternoon you want.
For your first evening, look at nearby restaurants before planning a trip across the strip. A dinner near the hotel leaves more of the day for unpacking and enjoying the coast. Save a longer beach-and-culture outing for a day when you can choose your own start time and check the site's opening hours.
Compare the total cost of reaching your hotel
A private airport transfer gives your party a booked destination and its own vehicle. When comparing it with an airport taxi, check the total fare, vehicle space and service conditions. For a bus option, look up the operator's current stops and include any connection from the stop to the Hotel Zone.
Compare like with like: the price for all passengers and their luggage, for the same destination and trip direction. The starting rate shown here is per vehicle. Search with your hotel and dates to see the applicable fare in USD on the English site or MXN on the Spanish site.
Allow time to leave the airport and reach your hotel
The drive depends on your airport terminal, the location of your hotel and traffic. Hotels near the airport end of the strip are a different journey from those around Punta Cancun. Share your flight and hotel details when booking so we can plan your pickup.
After landing, allow time for entry procedures where applicable, baggage collection and meeting your booked transfer. Keep arrival-day plans flexible, especially dinner reservations or activities requiring advance check-in. For a flight change, send us your reservation reference and the updated flight details so the pickup can be reviewed.
Choose space for people and holiday luggage
A couple with carry-on bags and a family with checked luggage need different amounts of space. Include children in the passenger total, then compare both seating and luggage capacity before selecting a vehicle. Strollers, golf bags and large suitcases can affect which option suits your trip.
Tell us about mobility equipment or seating needs before confirming. If you need a child seat, check availability and the conditions for the selected service. A higher vehicle category should be chosen for the space and features shown in the quote, without assuming every category includes the same extras.
Meet your transfer with the booking details ready
Save the airport meeting instructions, reservation reference and CAT contact details where you can open them on arrival. Follow the instructions for your booked service after collecting your luggage. The correct meeting arrangement is the one in your reservation, which should match the flight information you supplied.
If several people in your group arrive on different flights, explain the plan before placing a single booking. Similarly, tell us if travelers need different Hotel Zone drop-offs. These details change the itinerary and should be checked before a standard airport-to-hotel transfer is confirmed.
Plan the airport return from the correct lobby
For a round trip, review the departure date, hotel and return details as carefully as the arrival. Larger properties may have more than one entrance or reception, so establish the pickup point before the day you leave. Keep the return confirmation available when checking out.
Changing hotels during your stay? Let us know where you will spend your last night so we can update your return pickup and confirm any fare difference. Allow time for hotel checkout, the drive and your airline's check-in requirements.
