Xcaret for first-time visitors: rivers, admission and the evening show

What to do inside the park

Start with the underground rivers if swimming is your priority. For a dry alternative, Paradise River is a raft ride. Elsewhere in the park, the Mexican cemetery and Artisan Village give you places to explore between water activities. These attractions are listed in Xcaret’s park guide.

Traveling with younger children? Children’s World has water play areas for children under 12. Keep a dry change of clothes handy; switching from swimming to walking around the park is easier when you do not have to stay in wet swimwear.

Xcaret admission or Xcaret Plus?

Regular admission includes the park’s main attractions and México Espectacular. Plus adds a buffet meal and access to its Plus facilities. The difference matters if you intend to eat inside the park and spend the day moving between the rivers and other activities.

Some experiences have a separate charge. Use the admission comparison to check the activity you want before adding it to your day. A ticket for Xcaret park and a reservation at Hotel Xcaret México are different purchases.

Stay for México Espectacular

The evening performance is a reason to leave the second half of your day open. Have dinner or a change of clothes before the show, and arrange your return after the performance ends. A pickup booked for early evening would cut this visit short.
