Within the city
App-based trips within Cancun and pickup inside the airport are different services under different rules. Do not assume a city trip or a map showing cars nearby confirms a permitted airport pickup.
At Cancun Airport
In its March 11, 2026 notice, SICT stated that Uber lacked authorization to provide service within airport grounds. We do not recommend planning your airport arrival around an Uber pickup.
Book the arrival with a meeting point
With CAT, choose your hotel, dates and party size before traveling. Review the vehicle, fare inclusions and total. Your confirmation provides the arrival instructions and a reservation number for help finding the representative.
Compare the actual trip, not an old advertised fare
A city ride and an airport transfer are not the same route or product. Use the quote for your exact hotel and passenger count. Do not base an airport travel budget on an old screenshot, a city fare or a price per person that excludes the rest of your party.
If you are already at the airport
For an existing CAT booking, open your arrival instructions or call us with your reservation number and terminal. If you have not booked, contact our team to check the service before leaving the terminal to look for transport.

Can Uber be used for trips within Cancun?
It can be an option within the city. That does not mean the same pickup rules apply at the airport.
How do I find CAT after landing?
Follow your confirmation’s arrival instructions. If you need help, call us with the reservation number and terminal.
Can I reserve both airport journeys?
Yes. Choose Round trip and check both dates, the hotel and your passenger count before paying.
What if I need help choosing the destination?
Contact our reservations team with the hotel name and address. We can review the route with you before you book.
