Choose the part of Cancun that fits your plans
The Hotel Zone and downtown Cancun are different bases for a stay. Boulevard Kukulcán follows the coast; downtown has a city street layout. Check where your accommodation is before booking restaurants or activities. A hotel with Cancun in its name is not necessarily in the Hotel Zone.
Leave room for a first afternoon close to your hotel
After the flight, baggage collection and check-in, a nearby meal may be a better first plan than a timed excursion. Keep your swimsuit and anything you need before your room is ready somewhere easy to reach. Ask the hotel about luggage storage if you arrive before check-in.
A museum visit within the Hotel Zone
San Miguelito is reached through the Museo Maya de Cancún at kilometer 16.5 of Boulevard Kukulcán. Check INAH’s visitor information before going. Plan the journey from your hotel and leave time to return before any evening reservation.
For an island outing, check the departure pier
Cancun has several ferry terminals. Match the pier to your boat ticket before arranging transport; Puerto Juárez and the Hotel Zone piers are not the same location. A road transfer does not include ferry tickets.

Is downtown Cancun the same as the Hotel Zone?
No. They are different areas. Use the hotel’s full name in the search to choose the right destination.
Can I walk everywhere in the Hotel Zone?
Plan short walks around your hotel. For longer trips along Boulevard Kukulcán, check the distance and arrange how you will get back.
Can I reserve both airport journeys?
Yes. Choose Round trip and check both dates, the hotel and your passenger count before paying.
