The calculated route from Terminal 3 is approximately 49.9 km and 45 minutes without live traffic. The hotel is north of central Playa del Carmen. Time spent at immigration, collecting luggage and meeting your driver is separate from that road estimate.
These properties are in the same Princess area, but the hotel name still determines your arrival and pickup arrangements. If your room has been moved to Grand Riviera, tell us before traveling. Do not leave Grand Sunset selected after a hotel change.
A Platinum room at Grand Sunset remains part of Grand Sunset Princess. It is not a booking for Platinum Yucatan Princess, the separate adults-only resort. Send the full accommodation name if a booking voucher uses only the word Platinum.
Princess has several room types for couples and groups. Your airport vehicle is booked for passengers, not rooms. When friends arrive separately, share their flight details with us before choosing one pickup; otherwise the waiting plan may not fit everyone’s arrival.
Reserve round trip to include the ride back to Cancun Airport. Confirm the meeting point and leave time to get there from your room. If reception relocates your stay, send us the new property and pickup details before departure.

Once you have checked in, keep the first outing simple. Downtown Playa is a different experience from the coastal resorts: where you stay determines whether an evening stroll starts at your door or after a drive.
Arrange your airport arrival →If you are already on central Quinta Avenida, you can walk toward Parque Fundadores, browse the shops and stop for dinner along the way. You do not need a taxi for every few blocks. Choose a manageable stretch for your group, wear comfortable shoes and take water; the heat can make a short walk feel longer.
Playacar, Mayakoba and resorts north of town do not all sit beside the pedestrian avenue. Check your hotel's actual entrance before deciding to walk into town. For an evening out, agree on a pickup point on a vehicle-accessible street and save its location before you leave.
The beach and the passenger ferry are different plans. A Cozumel crossing needs its own ticket and a return plan; an airport transfer is not a ferry ticket. For local questions, the municipality lists a tourist-information point at Parque Fundadores. Keep your belongings close in busy areas and check the beach flags before swimming.
