Airport meeting instructions →The Reef 28 is at 1st Avenue and Calle 28, one block from the beach and close to Fifth Avenue. It is not The Reef Playacar or The Reef Coco Beach. Check that The Reef 28 appears on your transport confirmation.
The calculated route from Terminal 3 is about 54.7 km and 50 minutes without live traffic. It includes the approach through Playa del Carmen to the hotel. The drive begins after airport formalities and your meeting with the driver.
This is an adults-only hotel with breakfast-only and all-inclusive booking options. The Junior and Master Suite categories accommodate up to four guests under hotel conditions. Your airport fare is separate from the room and meal plan.
You can walk from the hotel to the nearby stretch of Fifth Avenue for restaurants and shops. There is no need to arrange a car for every short outing. Keep your scheduled airport pickup at the hotel entrance in your confirmation.
The rooftop pool and Okom Spa are part of the hotel's facilities. The Reef 28 is close to the beach, but its building is not directly on the sand. Confirm any access to sister resorts with reception before heading out.
Check-in starts at 3 p.m., and check-out is by noon. The hotel can store your bags before check-in or after check-out. Coordinate stored bags with reception so you are ready for the return ride. If a hotel package already includes transport, review that confirmation before booking another pickup.
Explore your destination
Once you have checked in, keep the first outing simple. Downtown Playa is a different experience from the coastal resorts: where you stay determines whether an evening stroll starts at your door or after a drive.
Arrange your airport arrival →If you are already on central Quinta Avenida, you can walk toward Parque Fundadores, browse the shops and stop for dinner along the way. You do not need a taxi for every few blocks. Choose a manageable stretch for your group, wear comfortable shoes and take water; the heat can make a short walk feel longer.
Playacar, Mayakoba and resorts north of town do not all sit beside the pedestrian avenue. Check your hotel's actual entrance before deciding to walk into town. For an evening out, agree on a pickup point on a vehicle-accessible street and save its location before you leave.
The beach and the passenger ferry are different plans. A Cozumel crossing needs its own ticket and a return plan; an airport transfer is not a ferry ticket. For local questions, the municipality lists a tourist-information point at Parque Fundadores. Keep your belongings close in busy areas and check the beach flags before swimming.
