Hard Rock Hotel Cancun is at km 14.5 of Boulevard Kukulcán, facing the Caribbean in the Hotel Zone. Here is what to do if your flight arrives before check-in, how dinner reservations work and where to go for a short outing from the resort.
Boulevard Kukulcán connects the hotels along Cancun’s beach peninsula. The kilometer number in an address helps you place a restaurant or attraction relative to your hotel. Being in the same Hotel Zone does not necessarily put it within walking distance.
Cancun International Airport uses the code CUN. From there, we arrange private transfers to Cancun’s Hotel Zone and destinations along the Riviera Maya. If you are comparing flights to Tulum, check the airport code: TQO is a separate airport.
Hard Rock Hotel Cancun and Iberostar Selection Cancún are in the Hotel Zone. Barceló Maya Tropical is farther south on the Riviera Maya. That location difference affects your airport ride and how easily you can go out during your stay.
Uber is an option for getting around Cancun city. For your airport pickup, book authorized transportation: Mexico’s transport ministry, SICT, states that Uber lacks authorization to provide services within the country’s airports, including Cancun.
You can visit Maya ruins inside Cancun’s Hotel Zone, see sculptures underwater or spend a full day at Xcaret. Choose according to the time you have and whether you want to get in the water. These outings need quite different plans.
